Hey friends, Happy almost Friday!!
I have never talked about movies on my blog before and figured it was a fun and different topic to discuss this week. I compiled a list of my all-time favorite movies! I tend to like the quirky, Indie, and feel good movies. Comedies, however, are always awesome! Let me know if you love any of these movies too!

1. SCHOOL OF ROCK:
It may come as a surprise to some, but School of Rock is one of my all time favorite movies! I just love Jack Black's humor and the way that he took on his character really is the icing on the cake. This is a hilarious movie for literally ALL ages. If you have yet to see this, give it the chance it deserves!!

2. WHIP IT:
I have no idea how I first came across this movie, but I happen to love Ellen Page and she does an incredible job in this quirky film about a girl who lives in possibly the most boring town ever, and sort of stumbles across roller derby, changing her life forever! What I love most about this movie is how different Bliss (Ellen Page) is than everyone else. She isn't afraid to be herself and go for her dreams, which makes it a super inspiring, yet hilarious movie all at the same time! Drew Barrymore is also in it and actually directed the film, making it even more of a must-see!

3. JUNO:
While we are on the topic of Ellen Page, I might as well talk about one of the best Indie films ever made! Now I am sure you have heard of this movie and most likely seen it, BUT, in the rare case that you have not... You NEED to watch this asap! It tells the story of a teenage girl who gets pregnant and has to deal with a whole lot of responsibility at a young age. I won't give anything away for those rare people who have not seen this, but if you love indie films or quirky, hilarious movies in general, you need Juno in your life!

4. THE HELP:
"An aspiring author during the civil rights movement of the 1960s decides to write a book detailing the African American maids' point of view on the white families for which they work, and the hardships they go through on a daily basis." This is such a touching and incredible movie that shows a small part of our horrible history in America and can inspire people to do what is right, even if it may not be what everyone around them is doing. While it seems like a hard movie to watch, it is filmed in a funny, light-hearted way, while still showcasing the hardships that these women went through.

5. THE PERKS OF BEING A WALLFLOWER:
Based on the amazing 1999 novel by, Stephen Chbosky; This film follows an introverted young man in his first year of high school trying to navigate life and love. It has an amazing soundtrack as well, which is always a plus! If you are a cry baby in movies like me, this one will get ya! But it is well worth it.

6. THE BREAKFAST CLUB:
The Breakfast Club is a comedy-drama, released in 1985 and was written, produced and directed by John Hughes. It follows the story of five teenage students, forced to spend an entire Saturday together in detention. They ultimately learn to understand each other despite how different all of their lives are. If you haven't seen this, have you been living under a rock? I'm kidding, but seriously, give this classic movie a watch!

7. FAST TIMES AT RIDGEMONT HIGH:
The first time I saw this, my dad basically forced me and said that it was one of the funniest movies ever... Well he was right, It is hilarious! It doesn't have any deep meaning but follows a group of California students, one in specific who is the epitome of a stoner and does not like to follow rules at all, which makes for a hilariously-entertaining flick!

8. THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA:
have LOVED this movie since the first time I ever saw it! It has a great cast featuring Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway, who do an amazing job in this film. It is about a new college graduate who lands a job as an assistant to Miranda Priestly, a SUPER demanding editor-in-chief of a high fashion magazine in New York City. If you love a good chick-flick, this is a GREAT one that I can't recommend enough!

9. UPTOWN GIRLS:
This is one of the cutest movies I have seen to this day. Starring Brittany Murphy and Dakota Fanning, the film is about a woman who starts working as a nanny and happens to act more like a child than the 8-year-old she takes care of (who seems to think she is all grown up). They both have a lot of learning to do from each other and in the end, it seems that they are much more alike than they ever thought. This movie makes me cry every time. :,)

10. THE PROPOSAL:
Now this is a rom-com if I ever saw one! The Proposal is about a pushy boss who forces her assistant to marry her after she is threatened by the U.S to be deported back to Canada where she is from. It is sweet and funny and will probably make you shed a tear if you are anything like me when watching movies!
As always, thanks for reading what I have to say! I hope you will watch some of these awesome movies if you haven't already. Let me know what your favorite movies are in the comments, I would love to watch them!
