SEATTLE TRAVEL DIARY

Picture
A couple weeks ago I went on my very first trip to Seattle and let me tell you, I LOVED IT! My mom, my boyfriend Brian, and I decided we all needed to experience the city a few months back, so we booked the plane tickets and that was that! We actually flew out on Brian's birthday which made the trip that much more special.

I wanted to share of few of my favorite activities and places that we visited while there! If you enjoy city life, the rain, seafood, shopping, ferry rides, or just good vibes in general, you would love this place!

1. Mediterranean Inn
I had to share what hotel we stayed at because I thoroughly enjoyed it. It is in a great location right in the city about 2 blocks from the Space Needle. It has a super cool rooftop deck where you can hang out and get a great view of the water and the city! Best of all, the hotel is connected to a Starbucks so you don't even have to step outside to grab your morning coffee!

2. Space Needle
The Space Needle is a must-see attraction in Seattle. (Unless you are scared of heights that is). You pay about $30 to go all the way to the top where you can walk on the rotating glass floor with a view of the whole city! I loved every second of it, and you can take some super cool photos up there as well.

3. The Museum of Pop Culture
This was definitely my favorite activity we did while there! The museum features exhibits of famous musicians/bands such as: Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Jimi Hendrix, and more! They also have a hands-on music room where you can play an array of different instruments, and even sing in a private booth! Not to mention, the building itself is such a cool piece of architecture, I will insert some images above!

4. Pike Place Market
Now this market is one I am sure you have heard of if you live near the West coast. It is famous for its fish-throwing workers, many booths of shopping and they also had super gorgeous flowers and fresh produce for sale! The location is also really great because it overlooks the water and the HUGE Ferris wheel (which is also another fun activity there).

5. Racha Noodles and Thai Cuisine
This was one of my favorite places we ate at (twice because it was so good)! If you stay at The Mediterranean Inn, it is only about a 5 minute walking distance from there. They had super delicious food and they gave us FREE mango ice cream for dessert, which I thought was a great way to make their customers want to come back. If you are ever in the area, check this place out!

6. Fremont
We visited Fremont for a day which is right outside of Seattle and it was the cutest town! For one thing, they have the Fremont Troll which is a must see. If you don't know, it is a huge troll statue that is under a bridge in this little neighborhood and makes for some great pictures! Fremont also had a great bike trail that ran next to the water, which was so fun to ride along and see the boats! The trail led to the Gas Works Park which was super cool and actually used to be a gas plant. You can see a wonderful panoramic view of Seattle from the park and it has lots of grass for the kids, as well as the cool industrial pipes leftover from the plant. A must-see!

7. Rush Bowls
This is a smoothie bowl place, located just about a 3 minute walking distance from the Mediterranean Inn. They had the yummiest PB & J bowl and a SUPER yummy Acai bowl. I will insert images above!

If you are ever in the Seattle area I hope you will visit some of these places. The Museum of Pop Culture and the Space Needle were both especially fun!! Happy travels!
